ORGANIZATION of the STAFF and BODY of TRUSTEES

The Trustees are necessary to provide continuity over a long period spent in research and editing done by the staff, whose members should be chosen in part locally i.e. in Florence and possibly from a body of academicians from Universities with a presence already in Florence. The project Director will also be a member of the Trustees as Secretary and provide them with reports of the staff’s progress and other details they may request.

The staff ideally should have a Archivist-Editor as head and preferably a Florentine trained in researching archival material from both public and private documents. Such expertise will supplement his function as editor and offer guidance to individual staff members engaged in research and bibliographical details.

Staff members should have language skills (both modern and classical) and have some skills in research and editing. Their numbers could include interns from Graduate Schools of Universities affiliated with and supporting the Project. Skills in photography and computer technology are strongly recommended as well.
